There are two types of conversion available, if you do not require the converted signal to record, or if you have a stable black and white picture, and all you need to do is watch something in colour, you might want to take a look at this page.

Only professional TV monitors can be switched between PAL and NTSC standards automatically. Recording equipment is always NTSC or PAL, it is extremely rare for any recording device to support both.
